Getting creative with children can be difficult in many ways but the biggest reason is that it can get messy. No matter how careful you are there is still going to be accidents and you need to be ready for them.
We had one of those accidents the other day. Some crayons didn't get put away and my toddler got a hold of one and when he gets that urge to be creative it ends up being displayed on the walls, furniture and anywhere else his little toddler hands can reach.
He quietly snuck away from viewing eyes and went stealthily at his business to incorporate his own personality onto his sister's lampshade.
Thankfully for mothers and Google search I was able to find a cure for the lampshades ailment. A little bit of WD-40 and elbow grease got the lampshade back to it's original condition. I also found that it works extremely well on that art work he posted on the hallway wall! I now keep a can on hand at all times in the laundry room, under the sink and in the hallway closest!
Hope this helped you out!
