Being Creative is Best When Organized

Creativity can be found in almost every aspect of your life as long as you make it a part of your everyday. For instance, we are a homeschooling family and creativity comes in many forms in our home.

Our constant messiness is proof that we are constantly creative. This is our kitchen table/school desk/art table. It's always got something on it that is non-food related.

I do feel that it is important to stay organized for reasons such as:
  1. It keeps things looking nice and neat.
  2. It's easy to find things fast.
  3. It teaches the kids to be organized.
  4. It keeps my toddler from easily accessing markers to become creative on the walls of our rented apartment.

We have  a rolling plastic organizer with drawers a lot like this:
I call it the "Creativity Station" and it holds all kinds of supplies, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, white printer paper, construction paper, card stock, old magazines, old news papers, coloring books, scissors, erasers, glitter, glue, glitter glue, and anything else we can think of to stuff in there for our craftiness. I suggest to anyone who is homeschooling, has an in-home daycare, or just loves to craft with their children to get one of these and stock it with readily available items for your children to go crazy, explore and get creative!

Remember:  “Creativity is contagious. Pass it on.” — Albert Einstein
